John Curley

Born New York, N.Y., November 1, 1955; admitted to bar, 1985, Michigan; 1986, New York. Education: City University of New York, John Jay College (B.A., cum laude, 1978); New England School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1984). New England Scholar. Staff Member, 1982-1983 and Associate Editor, 1983-1984, New England Law Review. Member: State Bar of Michigan; New York State Bar Association. John is licensed to practice in both Michigan and New York.   He came to Michigan via the New England School of Law in 1984 to work as a research attorney for a Michigan Circuit court (Oakland County).  He has handled large and complex litigation in numerous states including Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, New York and New Jersey.

 

John lives with his family in suburban Detroit and focuses his practice on commercial litigation/business issues and subrogation matters pending in the State of Michigan.

David Berkal

 Born Detroit, Michigan, December 30, 1960; admitted to bar, 1986, Michigan. Education: Michigan State University (B.A., 1983); Detroit College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1986). Member: State Bar of Michigan; American Bar Association; National Association of Subrogation Professionals. Practice Areas: Trucking Litigation; Transportation Law; Automobile Negligence; Commercial Litigation; General Business Litigation, Insurance Litigation; Coverage Litigation; Subrogation; Construction; Real Estate; Premises Liability; Products Liability; Dram Shop Litigation.

David has significant general and trial experience with insurance, subrogation, liability and automobile/truck liability cases involving serious personal injury.  David has also handled general insurance and subrogation cases around the country.  He chose to leave a large firm in 1996 to join John, focus his practice on local matters and enjoy the flexibilty afforded by a small firm.

David lives with his family in suburban Detroit.
